Posting More Isn’t the Answer. Posting With Intention Is.
We need to retire the idea that the solution to slow social media growth is simply “post more.” Three posts aren’t working? Better post seven. Engagement is down? Start posting twice a day. Don’t know what to say? Whatever — just get something up. Please don’t.
More isn’t automatically better. You could post every single day and still have a social presence that isn’t doing anything for your business, because frequency isn’t a strategy.
Every piece of content should have a reason for existing.
Maybe it’s introducing your brand to someone new. Maybe it’s educating your audience. Maybe it’s showing the personality behind your business. Maybe it’s building trust. Maybe it’s designed to turn someone who has been quietly watching for six months into a client. Different posts have different jobs.
Consistency still matters.
We’re not telling you to disappear for three weeks and call it strategy — consistency matters. But there’s a difference between consistently showing up and posting because Instagram hasn’t heard from you in 24 hours. We’ll take three intentional, on-brand posts over seven rushed ones any day.
Before you hit post, ask: why are we posting this?
If the answer is “because we haven’t posted today,” we may have a problem. You don’t need to be everywhere, every day. You need to give people a reason to pay attention when you are.
