5 Signs You’ve Outgrown DIY Social Media
There comes a point in every business owner’s life when “I’ll just do Instagram myself” starts sounding a little ambitious. At first, it’s manageable. Then business picks up, clients need you, emails need answering, your calendar gets full — and suddenly the Reel you were definitely going to post Monday is still sitting in drafts on Friday. Sound familiar?
1. “I need to post something” is part of your daily vocabulary.
If your content strategy consists of remembering at 8:47 p.m. that you haven’t posted in six days, we’re starting here. Social media works a lot better when you’re planning ahead instead of constantly catching up.
2. Your business has grown. Your Instagram hasn’t.
Your actual business is polished, professional and established. Your Instagram? Still giving “I made this in Canva between appointments.” Your online presence should reflect the level you’re actually operating at.
3. You have the ideas. You don’t have the time.
You know what you could post. You probably have 200 videos sitting in your camera roll. But editing them, writing captions, designing covers, planning content and actually getting everything live? Different story.
4. Social media is always the first thing pushed to tomorrow.
Client work comes first. Operations come first. Your team comes first. We get it. But tomorrow becomes next week pretty quickly.
5. You’d rather run your business than run your Instagram.
Ding ding ding. You started your business because you’re good at what you do. You don’t also need to become a strategist, photographer, videographer, editor, copywriter, graphic designer and trend researcher. That’s quite literally why we exist.
Outsourcing your social media doesn’t mean giving up your voice. It means finally having the team to use it properly.
